About The Position

Magnus Management Group is seeking a Project Manager to support the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Arlington, VA. This is a full-time, on-site position for a W-2 employee of Magnus Management Group, with a contract length of 5 years. The role requires a minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience and a college degree, preferably in business, management, or a related field. The ideal candidate will be proficient in commercial software packages and databases, possess strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills, and have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication abilities. The Project Manager will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, quality control, risk management, and administrative operations, including office management, HR support, and procurement. Technical skills include data analysis, financial management, and troubleshooting AV equipment.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of relevant work experience
  • College degree required, business, management, or related degree preferred
  • Proficient in the use of commercial software packages and databases, such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, management, and supervisory skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficient in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting
  • Experience leading projects, including creating project plans and process maps
  • Experience with performance and oversight of Quality Control Program
  • Experience with risk management related to timelines, costs, or compliance
  • Understanding of budget management, contractor personnel oversight, and other relevant administrative functions
  • Experience with administrative services like office management, records, human resources support, or procurement
  • Experience analyzing and implementing business processes
  • Proficient in using software for data analysis, financial management, and project management
  • Experience using data to make decisions, measure performance, and improve outcomes
  • Ability to provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting issues with AV equipment during events.
