About The Position

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Project Manager to provide direct oversight of hourly employees. The role ensures service standards are met, locations are fully staffed, and employees receive ongoing development. By evaluating sites and communicating effectively, the Project Manager helps ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of management experience in a service-related industry.
• At least three years of operational experience in the janitorial industry.
• Business-level oral and written communication skills, including fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Ability to lead and encourage teamwork, negotiate, and resolve conflict.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish, French, or other languages.
• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience.
• Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards.
• Knowledge of floor-care techniques, including buffing and waxing.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire employees to staff accounts according to contract specifications.
• Assign employee duties and tasks, and inspect work for cleanliness and completion.
• Determine work procedures and prepare schedules while keeping accounts within the labor budget.
• Conduct new-hire orientation, safety training, and job training so hourly employees can perform their duties efficiently and safely.
• Prepare and review required paperwork, including timesheets, accident reports, new-hire paperwork, employee training records, work orders, and equipment and supply orders.
• Assist with employee relations issues and coach and counsel employees to support their success.
• Build customer relationships by visiting accounts regularly and ensuring a high quality of service.
• Resolve problems and complaints promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Document customer contacts and concerns, and follow through to ensure issues are resolved.
• Monitor assigned accounts for work-order opportunities and additional work that can be added to contracts.
