The Project Manager develops and leads cross-functional teams to deliver projects from sale through final installation. The role works across design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, and testing to meet customer needs while managing budget and schedule constraints. The Project Manager typically becomes involved near the end of the sales cycle, initiates a project kickoff with the responsible Sales Engineer after an order is received, and then takes primary responsibility for the project. Project Managers receive support from the Operations Group as they learn to deliver increasingly complex projects. They may also support other Project Managers on larger projects, including site management, and coordinate with the Scheduler and management team to resolve resource and schedule conflicts. The role contributes to department strategic objectives. The position includes responsibility for project financial and schedule oversight, internal resource planning, customer and supplier coordination, project documentation and correspondence, design release approvals, subcontractor selection, project close-out, and post-project service coordination. It may involve travel to customer sites of up to 40%, with travel expenses covered by Toyota Automated Logistics.
