About The Position

Generator Systems LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of standby power projects from sale closure to final commissioning. The Project Manager will act as the primary liaison for customers, field technicians, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring that all generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS) installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for individuals who excel at organizing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and are committed to seeing them through from beginning to end. While hands-on experience with generator systems and electrical construction is advantageous, the company is willing to invest in candidates with strong industry knowledge and project management fundamentals. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in electrical construction, generator/standby power systems, or a related field with a background in inside sales, field electrical work, or as a generator technician strongly preferred
• A customer-first, solutions-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and specifications
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• Proficiency with NetSuite or a similar ERP/project management platform required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); familiarity with scheduling tools a plus
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of generator and transfer switch projects, from sale handoff through installation, startup, and closeout
• Build and maintain project schedules within NetSuite, budgets, and scopes of work, proactively spotting and resolving risks or delays
• Coordinate with service department, subcontractors and vendors to keep field work properly staffed and sequenced
• Serve as the go-to contact for customers, providing regular updates and ensuring a great experience start to finish
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and permit requirements to confirm scope and compliance
• Manage change orders, invoicing milestones, and closeout documentation
• Support the sales team with technical input, scoping, and proposal development as needed
