About The Position

The Project Manager leads projects and project related work contributing value to the Operations Excellence Team, the Operations Excellence Manager, the Executive Director and Gonzaba Medical Group (GMG). They perform as project leaders over assigned work and are capable professionals guiding cross-functional teams to success. They draw upon prior experience and demonstrated project skills to manage standard and complex project challenges.

Requirements

Minimum high school education or equivalent.
Bachelors in relevant field or equivalent experience required.
Minimum three (3) years related work experience with demonstrated knowledge of project management practices and awareness of software used to track and control projects.
Knowledge of and proficiency in use of MS Office Suite (primarily Outlook, Word, Excel).
Knowledge of and demonstrated use of project control application/software (e.g. Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, MS Project, or others).

Nice To Haves

Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Act as project leader on projects assigned; organize all project work in accordance with team standards, learn from leadership and senior project managers on the team, and demonstrate solid project management fundamentals for project coordinators.
Responsible for project outcomes during all phases of the project life-cycle.
Identify opportunities to improve how the team manages project work and provide recommendations for enhancements as appropriate.
Conduct excellent stakeholder management through solid use of preferred communication methods and mediums.
Approach all project work with the customer as primary focus.
Exercise tact and courtesy when dealing with patients, visitors, providers, vendor representatives and co-workers.
Participates in educational programs as appropriate or required.
Work alongside and support other project coordinators and managers as directed.
Participate in team and individual performance reviews.
Take initiative to accomplish all project management responsibilities.
Be available electronically or physically to your peers and leaders during work hours as agreed upon with your direct supervisor.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as needed to accomplish primary project responsibilities.
Other duties as assigned.
Lead customers through all phases of project life cycle – definition, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout – maintaining appropriate documentation of scope, budget, schedule and any changes therein.
Facilitate project meetings effectively – secure availability of stakeholders, provide meeting agendas, keep meeting participants on topic, capture action items, distribute notes to stakeholders afterward, and coordinate/follow up on action items to completion.
Successfully manage projects across various business areas within GMG (e.g. IT, Construction, Process Improvement, Vendors, Products, and general Business Operations).
Meet and exceed metrics or KPIs as identified by direct supervisor pertaining to organizational initiatives and projects.
Manage and control changes to project scope, schedule or budget and communicate those changes as appropriate to the Operations Excellence Manager or Executive Director in a timely manner.
Initiate the creation of project artifacts as needed (e.g. Project Charter, Schedule, Budget, Quality Control Documentation and Change Control Documentation).
Responsible for updating all project artifacts as assigned and on a regular cadence.
This position requires driving a company vehicle or a personal vehicle; therefore, employee must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess, and maintain a current valid Texas Driver License, and proof of current insurance to be subject for mileage reimbursement.
