About The Position

We are seeking a Project Manager to coordinate the activities of multiple divisions/departments to meet project objectives. This role involves contributing to consensus decisions among project stakeholders and team members, working under minimal supervision to establish project plans, and executing and coordinating multiple projects, some crossing different functions/disciplines. The Project Manager will create, maintain, and monitor accurate metrics, project files, and project tracking reports such as time reporting, financial records, schedules, budgets, and summary spreadsheets. A key responsibility is the accurate assessment and analysis of project deliverables to assist the team with meeting project objectives such as cost, schedule, and quality objectives. The role requires readily and promptly identifying project performance related issues, and identifying, tracking, and helping to mitigate project-related risks. The Project Manager may create and deliver presentations on project status to management, and identify opportunities for improvement to project processes, making a significant contribution to those improvements. This role also involves mentoring others and may lead or supervise interns. Manufacturing principles are important for this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or technical field or equivalent experience
  • Typically 4 years of direct experience in coordinating projects
  • Excellent coordination, organization, and prioritizing skills
  • Demonstrated competent level knowledge of project management skills, techniques, and terminology
  • Demonstrated record of project management accomplishments
  • Basic level of business acumen related to budgets, expense planning, resource allocation, and forecasting
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Knowledge of project scheduling parameters
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, OneNote)
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of SEL products
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence for project tracking and communications
  • Knowledge of programming techniques such as C++, SQL, JQL, and AI to query project data and generate reports
