About The Position

This role supports construction projects by coordinating communication, schedules, subcontractors, and project documentation to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The position collaborates closely with project teams, owners, and vendors, participates in meetings and inspections, and assists with reporting and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Budgeting and cost analysis skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the business.
  • Management skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others, while maintaining effective relationships with clients by meeting or exceeding their requirements and expectations.
  • Proficiency using a personal computer and company communication tools, such as e-mail, internet, and Microsoft products (i.e. Word, Excel, Office), and scheduling and construction administration software.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Forward thinking / self-motivated and has good time management skills.
  • 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact with owners, architects, and other invested parties throughout the project.
  • Manage all tasks associated with communication, schedule, and costs of construction projects.
  • Direct and supervise activities related to contract administration.
  • Collaborate with field superintendent to create a seamless construction management team.
  • Maintain a relentless focus on meeting and exceeding client needs and expectations.
  • Ensure professional communication with all parties involved in the construction project.
  • Manage project budget and schedule.
  • Support project superintendent in onsite scheduling efforts.
  • Understand project documents and the requirements of the owner’s contract.
  • Manage the subcontracting process and relationships with subcontractors.
  • Coordinate schedules to ensure subcontractors and suppliers meet project timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with the owner and owner representative to provide a positive construction experience.
  • Employ effective conflict resolution and problem-solving strategies.
  • Build relationships with clients, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups.
  • Actively participate in industry, client, and community activities to enhance company image.
  • Assist in preparing for and participating in proposals and interviews for potential new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Contract Administrator and other project team support staff.
  • Conduct pre-installation meetings and document for subcontractors, architects, and owners.
  • Be stationed onsite or make regular jobsite trips to collaborate with the jobsite superintendent.
  • Understand team roles and project responsibilities and hold team members accountable.
  • Continue education through various industry training as made available by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
