About The Position

Propulsion Controls Engineering has an opening for a Ship Repair Project Manager, supporting our San Diego, CA location. PCE is a full service electro-mechanical repair and diesel repair contractor. The Project Manager will oversee and lead a team in completing projects by a set deadline, schedule and budget. This role involves monitoring project progress, resolving challenges, and communicating obstacles. This position may require access to U.S. government or military sites, necessitating the ability to obtain base access clearance, which includes passing a background check and presenting valid government-issued identification. Per federal requirements, acceptable ID must be REAL ID-compliant or an approved form of federal identification, such as a valid U.S. passport.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of military or ship repair/marine industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task with multiple projects.
• Ability and tolerance to meet due dates and deadlines and/or time constraints.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control and costs.
• Must be eligible to obtain base access clearance, which includes passing a background check and presenting valid government-issued identification.
• Acceptable ID must be REAL ID-compliant or an approved form of federal identification, such as a valid U.S. passport.

Responsibilities

• Ability to delegate and lead others.
• Ability to obtain / maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
• Obtain base access clearance, which includes passing a background check and presenting valid government-issued identification.
