The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing small to mid-sized projects or portions of larger production programs, applying industry best practices and company processes to ensure successful execution. This role manages project planning, scheduling, financial controls, risk and opportunity management, supplier and contractual matters, and program reporting, while supporting the Program Management Team and leading small to medium proposals within budget and schedule requirements. Domestic travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional, matrixed environment
  • Strong customer service, negotiation, problem-solving, and vendor management skills
  • Knowledge of FAR/DAR, contracts and subcontracts, WBS, change management, and risk/opportunity management
  • Proficiency in cost, schedule, and program management, including program metrics and Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills
  • Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor
  • Must adhere to ISO and OSHA policies established by FMG and have high values for safety awareness
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 6 - 8 Years of project management, administration, management control, or contract/subcontract experience required

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Program Management, senior leadership, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies
  • Collect, prepare, track, and submit contract deliverables (SDRLs) and ensure compliance with contractual requirements
  • Prepare project status reports, metrics, presentations, and communications for management
  • Support development of manufacturing/construction plans and coordinate cross-functional activities related to contract changes
  • Monitor project cost, schedule, and performance, ensuring management controls and contract compliance are maintained
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVMS), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reporting, financial forecasting, EACs, funding projections, and margin analysis
  • Assist with contract negotiations, change proposals, and risk identification and mitigation activities
  • Other duties as assigned
