About The Position

CAGE is hiring a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join our Chandler office and become a core part of our growing Arizona land development practice. This role is for someone serious about their craft, who knows how to run projects, takes budget and schedule personally, and is thinking about their next career chapter, whether that involves growing into a principal role, building client relationships, or developing their own team. CAGE is actively building its Phoenix metro presence, and this role will place the individual at the center of significant land development work in a booming market with a strong pipeline. CAGE is a civil engineering, surveying, and construction management firm serving clients across the Southwest and beyond, with offices in multiple states. They specialize in land development consulting and partner with various clients to bring projects from concept through construction. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 7+ years of civil engineering and land development with proven experience as a Project Manager
  • Strong technical background in site development, grading, drainage, utility design, and permitting
  • Experience managing project budgets and schedules with financial accountability
  • Clear and confident communicator with clients and project teams
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or active pursuit

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Phoenix metro municipalities, permitting processes, and development standards is a strong plus
  • 10+ years of experience for Senior PM consideration
  • Existing relationships within the Phoenix metropolitan development community
  • Experience with private land development clients including residential builders, master plan developers, or commercial developers
  • Interest in growing into client leadership and business development responsibilities over time

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering and land development projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, and public sector markets
  • Lead projects from entitlement and preliminary design through permitting and construction
  • Own project scope, schedule, budget, and profitability
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants to deliver on time and on budget
  • Proactively identify risks and bring solutions, not just problems
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for project clients including developers, architects, contractors, and municipalities
  • Communicate proactively and build trust through consistent follow-through
  • Begin developing your own client relationships and participating in business development activities
  • Represent CAGE professionally within the Phoenix metro development community
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers
  • Lead proposal preparation and project pursuits
  • Collaborate with office leadership on workload planning and resource allocation
  • Help shape the culture of a growing office
