About The Position

The Project Manager/Vendor Administrator will be responsible for overseeing all project management and vendor administration activities for the bank. This role ensures projects are delivered effectively while supporting enterprise risk and third-party risk oversight. The position will lead complex projects and initiatives across multiple bank systems, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure vendor onboarding, contract controls and ongoing monitoring are performed in accordance with the Project Management and Vendor Management Policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of project management experience with at least five years in a technology related service field.
  • Proven experience managing projects across multiple locations.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Understand Federal and State banking rules and regulations and Union State Bank policies.
  • Ability to communicate, written and verbal, effectively with people both internally and externally.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization.
  • Basic computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft products.
  • Able to handle confidential information and positively represent the company.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred.
  • Bank-related courses strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from initiation through closure, including business cases, project planning, scheduling, budget management, and documentation.
  • Collect and review business case documentation for completeness, assess resource needs, and prioritize work based on organizational impact and risk.
  • Work with sponsoring business unit leaders to develop project plans, monitor timelines and budgets, and support on-time delivery within approved cost parameters.
  • Establish project teams ensuring relevant stakeholders are included, lead project meetings, and maintain records of decisions made.
  • Identify documents, manage project risks, and develop mitigation strategies to address known and emerging issues.
  • Escalate material project risks or issues to senior leadership as appropriate and support timely corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align project strategies with organizational goals.
  • Support a risk-based vendor onboarding due diligence process, including assessment of vendor capabilities, operational and security risks, contractual obligations, and any relevant regulatory or compliance considerations.
  • Ensure vendor relationships are documented, assigned to the appropriate vendor owners and monitored on an ongoing basis in accordance with the bank’s Vendor Management policy and third-party risk management platforms.
  • Ensure the contract information documented in the vendor management system of record is complete and accurate, supports timely contract review by vendor owners, and identifies opportunities to renegotiate terms or strengthen contractual controls when appropriate.
  • Ensure all projects and vendor management operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as may be required or assigned.
