About The Position

Acentra Health is seeking a Senior Project Manager to independently lead medium- to large-scale healthcare and/or technology projects, delivering within defined scope, timelines, and budgets. The role serves as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders, provides regular updates to clients and leadership, and proactively manages project risks and resources. It aligns execution with business and client objectives, prepares executive-level reporting, and mentors junior project staff. The position requires a comprehensive background check as part of federal contracting requirements. The person hired must follow corporate policies, including HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules. Responsibilities may be expanded to include other duties management considers necessary. The role is listed as remote, and the annual pay range is USD $114,800 to $155,000, with placement based on applicable experience and skill level.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Information Systems, Business Science Mathematics, or a related field; significant directly relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
At least 5 years of project management experience.
At least 3 years of experience with healthcare delivery systems, Medicaid/Medicare programs, or government contracts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Direct experience using Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
Ability to lead teams through ambiguity and change and hold team members accountable.
Ability to make informed trade-offs among scope, schedule, and resources.
Ability to resolve interpersonal or technical project issues swiftly and diplomatically.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and anticipate client needs.
Ability to identify, communicate, and proactively mitigate delivery risks.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end delivery of moderately to highly complex projects, ensuring delivery on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate project activities, deliverables, and status updates directly with clients.
Track milestones, deliverables, and metrics using project management tools, including Microsoft Project, EVM, and other reporting systems.
Identify project risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate concerns when appropriate.
Align project execution with broader business strategy and client objectives.
Prepare executive-level reports, present to stakeholders, and communicate with senior leadership and clients.
Own and monitor project budgets, forecast resources, and collaborate with finance and leadership on project financials.
Ensure adherence to internal governance protocols, CMMI standards, and contractual and regulatory requirements.
Partner with clients to analyze problems, recommend solutions, and maintain client relationships throughout the project life cycle.
Work with technical and functional personnel to resolve problems and align project goals with operational constraints.
Maintain project documentation, including schedules, change requests, risks, issues, and lessons learned.
Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process and tool enhancements.
Mentor junior Project Managers, project coordinators, and other team members through guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
Demonstrate commitment to customer service, operational excellence, and long-term client success.
Keep informed about industry trends, technologies, and project management best practices and apply innovative approaches to project delivery.
