About The Position

Pellera is seeking a Project Manager experienced in managing and completing cybersecurity projects. The role manages small, medium, and large client projects from start to finish using the standard PMO project management process. The Project Manager supports cybersecurity projects and is expected to have experience with GRC and Red Team projects, such as NIST or HIPAA assessments, cloud security assessments, and PCI ROC assessments. The role also involves client-facing work and managing multiple projects concurrently. The Project Manager participates in team meetings, shares knowledge, and leads project meetings that engage appropriate team members. The position emphasizes teamwork, project ownership, accountability, and mitigating or eliminating risks through communication, planning, and escalation. The role reports to the Manager, Project Management.

Requirements

At least 3 years of related experience.
Ethical and critical thinking.
Ability to follow and apply PMO best practices and recognized project management frameworks such as PMBOK.
Strong understanding of different project types and methodologies and when to use each.
Basic technical knowledge of cloud, IT infrastructure, analytics, and cybersecurity.
Good understanding of common technical terminology and implementation methods in the aligned technology practice area.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
Ability to function in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
PMP certification.
ITIL certification.

Prior client-facing experience and experience managing multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities

Use the systems, tools, and templates provided by the PMO.
Review statements of work (SOWs) and complete initial planning activities.
Coordinate with resource managers to assign project resources.
Conduct internal and external project kickoff calls using a slide deck.
Conduct regular internal and external status meetings.
Track prerequisites and products.
Create and maintain project plans.
Approve project timesheets and invoices.
Update project status, status notes, and start and end dates in the PSA tool each week.
Update and maintain technical resource schedules and bookings in the PSA tool.
Attend project review meetings and provide management with updates on projects in progress.
Conduct project closeout meetings.
Submit customer surveys.
Meet project management utilization targets.
Lead project meetings and engage appropriate team members to maximize meeting efficiency and value.
Promote teamwork among project team members.
Take ownership and accountability for project success and mitigate or eliminate risks through communication, planning, and escalation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
