Project Manager - Project Lead
About The Position
The State of South Carolina is looking for a Project Manager - Project Lead. This is a new position that will be assigned to high priority projects for the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS), the Medicaid Agency for SC. The Project Manager will interact with multiple business units and vendors. The contract duration is 12 months with a possibility for extension. The position is fully onsite, 5 days a week. The candidate must be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense. Lumen and/or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor. The contractor must have their own equipment. Access to a virtual desktop set up (software) will be provided by Lumen’s client, allowing the user access to the required systems and technology.
Requirements
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
- 3+ years of experience in project management in a healthcare, insurance, OR information technology environment.
- 3+ years of experience working with SharePoint and other typical project management tools, including Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project, Word, Access and Excel.
- Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
- Must have own equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.).
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Medicaid or other healthcare claims system(s) IT projects
Responsibilities
- Manage high priority projects for the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS).
- Interact with multiple business units and vendors.
- Work with risk management, including risk triggers and managing risks to project plan tasks.
