About The Position

CEI Engineering is seeking a Parks and Trails Division Project Manager for our Dallas, Texas office to effectively lead the design and construction of parks, trails, and landscape projects in and around the DFW and surrounding area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and managing innovative and sustainable parks and trails projects, enjoy cultivating and expanding business development opportunities, and is a dynamic leader who can inspire team members to provide outstanding services and project outcomes to our clients. Experience working with federal, state, and local government agencies and community associations, and knowledge of grant opportunities and additional funding sources for client projects is a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, civil engineering, or equivalent training/ experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in land/site development with experience in utilities, drainage, landscape / outdoor recreation / sports field or parks and trails design, MASTER PLANNING, site entitlement, and project management
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD/ Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong sense of personal initiative and drive to exceed client expectations.
  • Valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and ability to occasionally travel overnight.

Nice To Haves

  • Municipality experience is preferred
  • L.A. or P.E. license preferred.
  • An ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of strong project management experience with successful outcomes and an aptitude for detailed designs, effectively solving problems no matter how great the challenge is, with the client in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Parks, Trails, and Landscape projects by creating scope and budgets, directing the design, and coordinating work with other staff and design team members.
  • Be a key point of contact with clients, contractors, and local government officials.
  • Review project design aspects, including layouts, grading plans, stormwater management, water quality practices, and utilities.
  • Review work products, quality control, and budgeting.
