About The Position

Three Notch Group is seeking a Project Manager I - Construction Services to support construction-phase testing and construction engineering and inspection projects in Huntsville, Alabama. Under the close supervision of a Team Leader, this role delivers quality projects on time and within budget. The position coordinates field and technical resources, maintains client communication, and supports the financial and operational performance of assigned projects. Success means delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality expectations; maintaining responsive client communication; coordinating qualified project teams; keeping plans and staffing current; and addressing project needs as they arise. The role also supports business development, workload balance, financial and professional-development goals, and trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with three to four years of project management experience; master's degree or MBA with at least one year of project management experience; or associate degree with five years of project management experience.
Experience managing small- to medium-complexity projects; construction-phase testing, construction materials testing, or construction engineering and inspection experience is preferred.
Completion of, or willingness to complete, company project-management and resource-planning training programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and client-service skills.
Ability to apply a broad knowledge of principles related to the field and manage a variety of technical tasks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently to construction sites, including occasional overnight travel.
Ability to maintain required continuing education, certifications, and licensure as assigned.

Responsibilities

Represent Three Notch Group professionally and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and the public.
Discuss project expectations with clients, communicate throughout project delivery, and follow up after completion to support client satisfaction.
Prepare scopes, fee proposals, project approaches, and other technical proposal materials for review and client approval.
Identify opportunities with existing and prospective clients and assist with business development, proposals, networking, and pursuit efforts.
Assemble and coordinate technicians, engineers, subconsultants, and other project resources.
Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules, deadlines, and staffing assignments in company ERP and resource-planning systems.
Coordinate construction materials testing and construction engineering and inspection work, including communication with field personnel and project stakeholders.
Assist the Team Leader with resource planning, workload balance, and practice administrative tasks.
Monitor project performance and manage assignments to meet quality, schedule, budget, utilization, and profitability expectations.
Review project expenses and client invoices, support timely accounts-receivable collections, and assist with budgeting and manpower projections.
Follow company policies, safety requirements, quality procedures, and the Employee Handbook.
Perform other duties as assigned.
