STV is seeking a Project Manager – FF&E and Move Management Coordinator for their PM/CM group in Chicago. This role serves as the Owner’s Representative for FF&E and Move Management projects, overseeing moderate to large-scale projects from planning through closeout. The candidate will ensure alignment of schedule, budget, and operational readiness while coordinating FF&E procurement, installation, and move activities with design, construction, and occupancy requirements. The position acts as the primary liaison among clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to support efficient project delivery, mitigate risks, and maintain clear communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in FF&E, Move Management, or workplace coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of interior construction, interior design, furniture procurement, moves and relocations, and workplace environments.
  • Experience managing FF&E lifecycle including specifications, procurement, installation, relocations, and contract administration.
  • Ability to manage evolving project scopes and integrate changes effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading drawings, conducting field verifications, and performing site surveys.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost tracking, and schedules.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign and related tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed locally and of state.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all FF&E and Move Management communications.
  • Develop and manage FF&E and/or Move Management work plans aligned with project scope, schedule, logistics, and client objectives.
  • Coordinate with design teams, architects, contractors, vendors, IT teams, facility managers, movers, and other stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and coordinate FF&E strategies, including reuse of existing furniture, procurement of new products, or hybrid solutions.
  • Plan and coordinate FF&E activities, with construction teams and all stakeholders to align FF&E installation with construction milestones, schedule and site readiness.
  • Manage all move logistics, sequencing, phasing, and relocations in collaboration with project objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate schedule risks and critical path issues.
  • Lead coordination meetings and maintain comprehensive project documentation (inventories, schedules, move plans, and key decisions).
  • Provide regular written updates on project status, risks, and changes.
  • Review drawings and specifications for FF&E and move logistics coordination.
  • Oversee on-site FF&E installation and Move activities, resolving issues in real time.
  • Conduct final walkthroughs, manage punch lists, and complete closeout documentation including inventories and warranties.
