About The Position

At Engineering & Property Services (E&PS), Johnson & Johnson manages all its buildings globally, offering end-to-end services from Real Estate and Engineering & Project Management to Facilities Management. This function significantly influences the entire J&J Enterprise by providing innovative and collaborative workplaces and flexible site solutions to serve customers and patients. The E&PS Senior Manager plays a critical role within the Project Delivery organization, overseeing a portfolio of key projects that support business operations and compliance. This involves leading the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, scope, schedule, and budget requirements. The Senior Manager will manage large-scale capital design and construction projects in either the Innovative Medicines or Medtech sectors, coordinating cross-functional teams, defining project scope, developing schedules, securing resources, and managing stakeholder relationships. Given Johnson & Johnson's global facilities, including manufacturing sites, laboratories, and offices, the role requires leveraging technical expertise and project management best practices to identify and mitigate risks. A strong emphasis is placed on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and safety to support strategic priorities and ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management from an accredited institution required
  • 10 years or more of relevant experience in engineering, project management, or research & development, with a focus on operational excellence and team leadership
  • Strong experience in facilities and utilities related projects
  • Demonstrated experience in managing construction projects or programs within a regulated manufacturing environment, including planning, execution, and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes in FDA-regulated environments, including design, startup, and operational phases.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, coordinate efforts across different departments, and ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Experience with financial management related to project or operational budgets, resource planning, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint is required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee facilities related project execution following IDEA and FPX, ensuring all deliverables align with safety, cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
  • Follow and implement the project execution plan methodology to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate comprehensive project planning, tracking, and reporting against FPOs to ensure project and program success.
  • Manage customer interactions, contractor relationships, and communications to ensure stakeholder alignment and satisfaction.
  • Oversee project portfolios across diverse sites, whether at IM or MD locations, ensuring delivery in accordance with organizational KPIs.
  • Oversee or support other project leads, stepping into the role of Senior Project Lead when required to ensure consistency and excellence in project delivery.
  • Drive the application of best practices and continuous improvement in project management processes.
  • Demonstrate proactive leadership by managing project teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and fostering collaboration among regional stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project, ensuring seamless integration of technical, financial, and operational aspects.
