About The Position

Our client is seeking an Energy Efficiency Program Manager to oversee the scope, schedule, budget, and implementation of energy efficiency projects. This role ensures projects meet program requirements, cost-effectiveness standards, and applicable Board of Public Utilities (BPU) requirements while maintaining strong customer and contractor relationships. Manage energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with BPU-approved requirements and company procedures. Develop and maintain processes supporting program implementation and effective internal business controls. Review project scope, costs, and energy conservation measures, including HVAC, lighting, motors, and energy management systems. Coordinate with internal teams, customers, vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure program compliance and accurate, timely reporting. Direct vendor and contractor activities, review deliverables, monitor performance, and review and process invoices. Process milestone payments and forecast financial spending. Perform and oversee program and project quality assurance and quality control. Conduct project site visits and inspections. Compile and analyze project data, prepare management reports, and provide monthly project status forecasts. Manage customer relationships and support a high level of customer satisfaction. Ensure vendors and employees comply with safety protocols and practices. Support process improvements, special projects, and additional requests as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree and 8 years of experience in energy efficiency programs, construction, or a related field; or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience processing milestone payments and forecasting financial spending.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, implementation methods, and costs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently while following company business control standards.
  • Ability to travel within the service territory for customer meetings, inspections, and contractor coordination.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.

  • Building Performance Institute certifications.
  • Certified Energy Manager certification.
