As the Project Manager Digital Experience, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and implementing digital projects that enhance customer experience across all platforms—mobile, desktop, and app. You’ll lead initiatives aligned with Staples’ strategic vision to be the digital selling platform of choice, using customer insights, analytics, and innovative solutions. From conception to completion, you’ll ensure projects deliver tangible improvements to our eCommerce platform and support our future innovation pipeline.

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, preferably in digital projects within an eCommerce setting
  • Proven track record of successfully managing digital projects from initiation to completion
  • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms and a clear understanding of how digital enhancements impact user behavior and business metrics
  • Strong competency in using analytics tools (i.e. Adobe Analytics) to gather insights and drive decisions, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable project plans
  • Familiar with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Solid budget management experience for digital projects (forecasting, allocation, tracking expenditures to maximize resource utilization and ROI)
  • Practical experience in risk management and problem resolution within digital projects, ensuring timely and effective mitigation of issues that could impact project success
  • Proficiency in project management software like Microsoft Project, Asana, Monday.com or Trello, and strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of digital projects across mobile, desktop, and app platforms, ensuring alignment with Staples’ strategic goals and customer experience enhancement.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders from sales, marketing, technology, and external partners to define project scopes, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans that outline key activities, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Utilize data analytics to gather customer insights and identify opportunities for digital enhancements, translating complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Conduct ongoing testing and optimization of digital projects, including A/B testing and usability testing, to refine and improve customer interactions and satisfaction.
  • Manage project budgets effectively, tracking expenditures and ensuring projects are delivered within financial guidelines.
  • Oversee the quality assurance process, ensuring that all digital projects meet Staples’ high standards and functional requirements before full-scale deployment.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and update sessions with project teams and senior management to report on progress, risks, and adjustments needed.
  • Implement risk management processes to identify potential issues and develop contingency plans to mitigate project risks.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring all project details are accurately recorded and accessible for review and compliance.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the digital space.
