Requirements

  • Demonstrated high level knowledge and experience in acquisition, residential property development, asset divestment, affordable housing programs or similar complex delivery environments that require high level problem solving and stakeholder engagement to achieve best practice outcomes.
  • High level knowledge and understanding of property development approaches and environmental issues coupled with a working knowledge of the Tasmanian Land Use Planning System.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of governance, procurement and compliance frameworks within a government or comparable environment, combined with well-developed stakeholder engagement, client management and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Conviction checks in the following areas: crimes of violence, sex related offences, serious drug offences, crimes involving dishonesty, serious traffic offences (If Driver's License is an Essential Requirement).
  • Identification check
  • Disciplinary action in previous employment check.

Nice To Haves

  • Tertiary qualifications in property, project management, planning, construction, business or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Commercial Projects team, project manage Homes Tasmania’s portfolio of residential development and program delivery initiatives that support housing supply and home ownership opportunities in Tasmania.
  • The role is responsible for managing programs and delivering projects relating to acquisitions, residential property development for divestment, contributing to property sales and shared equity programs, and ensuring alignment with Homes Tasmania’s strategic priorities and relevant State and Commonwealth initiatives.
  • This includes managing a small team and coordinating stakeholders to achieve timely, quality and value-for-money outcomes.
