Project Manager, Civil Engineering – Residential Land Development
About The Position
Atwell’s Civil Engineering group is hiring a Project Manager to work on residential land development projects of varying sizes and complexities. The role works closely with production staff on preliminary and final site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, and construction documents for residential communities and subdivisions. It also includes mentoring junior staff, preparing technical reports and recommendations, supporting construction activities, and using engineering software to deliver assignments on time and within budget. Atwell offers training and mentoring to help the Project Manager develop and grow within its residential land development practice.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with production staff to draft, review, and finalize preliminary and final site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, and construction documents for residential communities and subdivisions.
- Guide and assist junior staff, ensuring project tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations, including hydrology and hydraulic studies, stormwater management reports, project schedules, and utility coordination.
- Provide construction-related services and direct junior team members, including permit applications, quantity estimates, contractor coordination, and field support.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget.
- Develop Project Manager skills through training and mentoring.
