About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a Project Management Specialist to support project management for the ICBM MMIII Test Equipment Roadmap in Heath, Ohio. The role oversees the cost, schedule, and technical management of more than 20 test-equipment overhaul projects supporting repairs to Minuteman III guidance systems. The projects use a standard gated process and are performed by approximately 30 engineers at Boeing’s Heath location, with an annual budget of approximately $30 million. The test equipment is in use but requires overhaul because processes and parts associated with MMIII guidance have become obsolete. The guidance systems use electronics and inertial sensors to navigate ground-based missiles and are required to meet stringent strategic requirements. The overhaul work supports the U.S. Air Force customer and requires coordination with experienced subject-matter experts and novice engineers. Following overhaul, the team works with facilities, engineering, and operations on procedures, installation instructions, and testing. The guidance systems are expected to remain in service through 2050, making updated test equipment important to reliable weapon-system performance. The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. Government, and an interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance is required after starting. Boeing will not sponsor employment visas. Relocation assistance is not available as a negotiable benefit; candidates must live nearby or relocate at their own expense. This is not a safety-sensitive position and is not contingent upon a program award. The role is listed as Shift 1 (United States of America).
