About The Position

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Knowledge of electrical and C4I systems onboard the LHA Class Navy Ships. Review Government Furnished Information and coordinate with Engineering/Design team to validate technical information and insure proper design is accomplished. Researches and assists with cable routing/penetrations, circuit hookup, material challenges, testing of electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Ability to work with waterfront personal (Construction Manager, Ship Program Manager, Operations, Supply Chain, Production Control, etc) on the ship/deckplates on resolving issues that arise during installations and getting in front of potential issues to mitigate risk. Ability to work with the Navy Ship Design Management teams on new/upcoming changes to ensure proper integration efforts are considered during scoping/proposal efforts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 10 years of experience
  • Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience
  • Masters degree or above and 4 year of experience.
  • Must be able to obtain SECRET clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical and C4I engineering experience and knowledge of systems for the LHA Class.
  • Ability to develop presentations and speak/present to senior leadership, both internally and externally.
  • Strong understanding of ship specifications, government specifications, and how they integrate into our design products.
  • Experience developing and implementing modifications for complex Electrical and C4I systems, including waivers, condition reports, procurement specifications, etc.
