Project Lead, Delivery

Insight GlobalPortland, OR

About The Position

A delivery leader who owns the operational engine of Global Content Authoring. This role runs the intake and trafficking of authoring work across channels, drives the strategy for how content is executed and scaled, manages the performance and readiness of Insight Global resources, and ensures delivery consistently meets Nike’s success criteria. Rather than taking day-to-day direction from Nike, the Technical Project Lead (TPL) operates Insight Global as a true managed service — partnering with Nike’s Content Operations organization on priorities and outcomes while owning execution end to end.

Requirements

  • Nike FTE leadership continues to set business priorities, seasonal direction, and brand standards; the SDM partners on outcomes and service expectations rather than receiving day-to-day direction.
  • Keep Nike leadership continuously informed on quality metrics, delivery health, capacity, and risk through structured reporting and business reviews.
  • Escalate to Nike only when a business-level decision is required; operational and workforce challenges are owned and resolved by Insight Global.
  • Use data-driven documentation to surface opportunities, expand the value of the service, and reinforce Insight Global as a true managed-service partner.
  • Work intake, prioritization, and assignment originate from Insight Global — not Nike FTEs.
  • Coaching and performance conversations are led by the TPL and IG leadership.
  • Delivery, quality, and capacity risks are proactively identified and resolved by Insight Global.
  • Nike Leaders spend less time managing logistics and more time on business outcomes, capability strategy, and seasonal readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central point for all incoming authoring requests, translating Nike’s seasonal and campaign priorities into scoped, assignable work across the content team.
  • Own prioritization, sequencing, and assignment of authoring work across channels (.com, app, email, SMS) and GBL→GEO handoffs based on capacity, skill, and campaign readiness, removing Nike FTEs from day-to-day work distribution.
  • Forecast seasonal readiness against the content lifecycle (IMR gates through go-live), balance workload across authors, content validation specialists, and digital producers, and proactively identify and mitigate capacity or resourcing risks before they impact launch.
  • Partner with Nike’s automation agenda, surface efficiency and agentic/AI opportunities across CMS, Airtable, and reporting, and pass data-driven recommendations to Nike leadership to compress the content lifecycle and grow the remit of the service.
  • Act as the primary people manager for the authoring team, owning coaching, development, career growth conversations, and performance management, so Nike FTEs are no longer the day-to-day managers of contractor resources.
  • Use CMS/Airtable throughput, quality, and readiness data to coach each author and specialist, target skill gaps, and build the team up through teachable moments.
  • Own onboarding readiness, cross-training (authoring, content validation, CMS), skills visibility, and succession planning to protect delivery continuity, eliminate “unicorn” dependencies, and reduce attrition risk.
  • Run quality checks against Nike’s brand, voice, and content standards through built-in QC and feedback loops, owning accountability for the quality of the team’s output across all channels.
  • Establish quality-control KPIs, seasonal/campaign readiness targets (e.g., 95% by launch), and throughput/cycle-time metrics that are within the team’s control — then track and report progress.
  • Own the acceptance criteria, stage gates, and rework process so deliverables consistently meet Nike’s success criteria without requiring Nike to manage the work.
