About The Position

Knutson Construction is hiring a Project Executive to lead and oversee construction, project management, and project administration activities for its Healthcare market sector. The role manages Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Support staff and is responsible for project and business performance, relationship management, safety, quality, risk, scheduling, and successful project delivery. The Project Executive also helps retain and win business, develops and implements corporate initiatives and standard operating procedures, and supports the company’s mission and vision. The position leads project teams and pursuit efforts, works with Business Development to maintain a pipeline of opportunities, and represents Knutson at community and industry events. It reviews the performance and development needs of Construction Operations employees in the market sector in collaboration with the Director of Operations and General Manager. The role also participates in recruiting activities and required safety training.

Requirements

Four-year degree in Construction Science or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess the utmost personal integrity.
Ability to create and lead a collaborative organizational culture internally and externally.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Ability to lead by example.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to successfully manage project financials.

Nice To Haves

10 to 15 years of responsibility for total execution of large commercial construction projects in Healthcare is preferred.
Advanced experience and knowledge delivering commercial construction projects through estimating, means and methods, accounting, project administration, and sustainability measures, with a thorough understanding of industry practices.
Experience managing Superintendents, Project Managers, and Project Support staff.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate effective teams, providing oversight and direction across construction and project operations.
Promote Knutson’s Zero Incident safety culture, compliance, and continuous improvement, and participate in scheduled and as-needed safety training.
Manage relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal team members.
Oversee financial and business performance, subcontractor management, self-perform management, constructability and technical issues, legal and liability matters, dispute resolution, risk analysis and mitigation, quality control, schedule management, and design-phase execution.
Review Construction Operations employee performance within the Healthcare market sector and collaborate with the Director of Operations and General Manager on staffing, development needs, evaluations, and compensation.
Lead project teams in delivering The Knutson Experience while following company standard operating procedures.
Pursue new opportunities and lead pursuit teams.
Collaborate with Business Development and others to maintain a consistent pipeline of project opportunities.
Participate in community and industry events to build a professional network and promote Knutson Construction.
Support team growth through career fairs, candidate interviews, and networking events.
Help develop and implement corporate initiatives and standard operating procedures.
