About The Position

We are seeking a driven Project Coordinator to join Axiom Builders. We have multiple current and upcoming projects in and around Victoria and looking for strong individuals looking to join a passionate, quality and safety focused team. Working under the guidance of a Project Manager, you will gain hands-on exposure to every stage of the construction process. From managing documentation and project systems to coordinating safety protocols and communication between subtrades, clients, architects, and consultants, you’ll develop the skills and confidence to grow into a future Project Manager. The ideal candidate is adaptable coupled with exceptional organizational and time management skills that allows not only you to work efficiently, but also preciously in a goal driven environment. While demonstrating a positive attitude and commitment to excellence, you can work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and take pride in your work with understanding the importance of quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction at every stage of the construction process.

Requirements

  • Certificate, diploma or degree in Building Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field;
  • Minimum one-to-two (1-2) years of experience in construction on-site as a Project Coordinator;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines;
  • Willing and excited to work on site and be actively involved in project execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Project and other construction related software will be considered a strong asset;

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and maintain all project materials including: drawings, specifications, purchase orders, design plans, and contract documents;
  • Prepare change order documentation and tracking of all contracts change orders and purchase orders;
  • Assist with the sample and shop drawing review process throughout the project including review, distribution, and final approvals electronically;
  • Report on project progress and productivity to senior management and clients;
  • Ensure compliance with on-site and company-wide health and safety protocols and policies;
  • Communicate with subtrades to assist in budgeting to ensure they understand their scope of work;
  • Review designs and use knowledge of construction methods to determine the most cost-effective approach.
