Project Coordinator

Floor Coverings International of Aurora DenverAurora, CO
$27 - $28Hybrid

About The Position

We’re a locally owned Floor Coverings International franchise serving the Denver-Aurora metro. We bring the flooring showroom to our customers’ homes and manage every project from start to finish. We compete on trust, care, and an experience people tell their neighbors about, and we’re “flooring with a purpose,” giving back to local non-profits in our community. We’re hiring a Project Coordinator to run our projects and take care of our customers from the day a job is sold to the final walkthrough. This role is about making customers happy, helping create beautiful homes and projects, solving problems creatively, and being an early part of a fast-growing company and team. We’re looking for someone who wants to help build a great community business. This role comes with an annual budget for certifications and professional development, so you keep learning and growing on our dime. A real growth path, with a timeline. Project Coordinator now, a raise at 90 days, salary opportunities with a company vehicle around 6 months, Project Manager in 12-18 months, and the opportunity to grow into company leadership from there. A genuine path toward ownership. There’s a real path to an ownership stake here for the right person, and we’ll walk you through exactly what it looks like when we meet.

Requirements

  • Amazing customer service, this is #1. You genuinely take care of people.
  • A proactive overcommunicator: you’d rather send one too many updates than leave anyone guessing.
  • A natural problem solver who stays calm when something goes sideways.
  • Some hands-on / construction background, and a real willingness to learn.
  • Organized, reliable, and comfortable with everyday numbers, with a valid driver’s license (you’ll drive to jobsites daily).
  • Community-minded, and eager to earn certifications and grow.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality experience is a big plus.
  • Flooring experience is a plus, but any trades background counts (carpentry, remodeling, roofing, general labor, DIY builds). You’ll be overseeing skilled installers, so learning the ins and outs of the work is critical to this role - and you should be comfortable on a jobsite.

Responsibilities

  • Take care of our customers throughout their project: the intro, scheduling, updates, and the final walkthrough.
  • 50-75% of this job is in the field, spending time with our clients; the rest is keeping our systems tight (project management system, work orders, paperwork) so nothing slips.
  • Drive to jobsites across metro to kick off installs, check quality, and close out projects. Expect to spend more time with clients than you would anywhere else - that’s the point.
  • Build and run the plan for each job using our project management system (Monday.com), juggling 15+ active projects at different stages.
  • Order and track materials, and coordinate our installer crews.
  • Support our estimating: on jobs where contractors and other partners bring us in as the flooring subcontractor, take field measurements and help build the estimate.
  • Solve problems the moment they come up, and keep everyone in the loop.
  • Handle warranty and follow-up service with care.
  • Learn flooring products, installation methods, and the trade, with our full support. You’re coordinating skilled installers, and understanding how their work gets done is how you earn their respect and protect our commitment to quality.

Benefits

  • Bonus based on performance
  • Employee discounts
  • Opportunity for advancement
  • Training & development
  • Annual franchise convention in Cancun, all expenses paid
  • Paid Time Off
  • Monthly phone stipend
  • Paid training - an annual budget for certifications and professional development
