About The Position

Smartpress is a fast-growing online printing service that is disrupting the traditional printing industry. They are looking for an enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join their team. This role ensures print jobs are set up correctly and that customer orders are accurate. The Project Coordinator is responsible for communicating all relevant information between customers and the production team for the timely delivery of printed items, while working closely with Sales, Project Managers, Prepress, and other teams. Requirements

  • Experience in a customer facing role (in person or via telephone, email) or completion of a 2-year or 4-year educational program post high school
  • Above average skills using computer-based software programs
  • Customer service experience
  • A focus on quality
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience assisting customers via phone, chat and/or email
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced transactional environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A “customer centric” approach
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in large and/or small format print production
  • Knowledge of editing and management software, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Enfocus Pitstop.
  • Knowledge of the printing industry

Responsibilities

  • Successfully oversee a large number of customer jobs to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner and tight deadlines are met.
  • Assist customers with questions about paper stocks, project timing, and production processes.
  • Be a key contact between customers and internal production teams.
  • Provide customer support in quality control and advise customers on reorders, shipping options and other variables.
  • Work efficiently in a highly transactional environment, overseeing hundreds of customer jobs at the same time.
  • Maintain customer relationships (primarily email-based inquiries, some phone conversations) in a timely manner; identify and assess customer needs to resolve issues and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively communicate any changes with customers and identify potential concerns.
  • Strong multitasking abilities capable of handling tight deadlines and high volume of work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
