About The Position

As a Project Coordinator, your responsibility is to support Design/Project Managers throughout the life of the project from the initial proposal, through various design phases, to project close-out. You will assist with contract and proposal administration, including writing, editing, and tracking signage on various agreements. You will also liaise between In-House Counsel, Design Manager, and Project Accountant to incorporate comments into draft contracts and ensure fee accuracy. A key part of this role involves utilizing project management tools to enhance efficiency for both Design Managers and the studio, including entering staffing and revenue plans, creating project schedules, and using data management software to identify areas for improvement. You will serve as a go-to resource within your studio for understanding and meeting firmwide metrics goals related to staffing, revenue, contract signage, resilience, and sustainability. Additionally, you will provide general project assistance such as supplementary research, taking meeting notes, updating project profiles, and performing other miscellaneous tasks to improve project quality and delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or Interior Design
  • 4-8 years of experience
  • Self-motivated and naturally curious about the architecture and design process
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and capable of taking detailed Meeting Notes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Legal and contract review experience is a plus, but not required
  • Interest in architectural billings, fee planning, and staffing

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, administer and track signage on Letters of Intent, Interim and Final Agreements, Consultant Agreements, and Work Authorizations.
  • Liaise between In-House Counsel, Design Manager and Project Accountant to incorporate comments into draft contract and ensure contract fee is up to date.
  • Utilize project management tools to increase efficiency for both Design Managers and the studio; this includes entering staffing and revenue plans, creating project schedules, and using data management software to identify areas of improvement.
  • Be a go-to resource in your studio on how to understand, meet, and exceed firmwide metrics goals (staffing and revenue plan completion, contract signage, resilience and sustainability metrics).
  • Provide general project assistance such as supplementary project research, meeting notes, updating project profiles, and other miscellaneous tasks to improve the project quality and delivery process.
