About The Position

The ONxpress Civil Joint Venture, comprised of Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc. and FCC Canada Ltd., is delivering the GO Expansion program for Metrolinx, which aims to increase GO service across the network. This program involves new track construction, station renovations, and infrastructure upgrades. The ONxpress Civil Joint Venture is a multidisciplinary team responsible for civil and track works, utilizing global expertise and innovative solutions within the GO Transit network. This newly created Project Coordinator role supports the commercial and project controls management of engineering design sub-consultants. The role works closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to drive financial performance, maintain project controls, and ensure alignment between technical delivery and commercial outcomes. The position supports budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, invoicing, and commercial documentation, while also contributing to reporting, change management, and consultant coordination within an integrated Alliance environment. The role interfaces daily with internal teams, consultants, and Metrolinx.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in commercial and project controls oversight of engineering consultant scopes.
  • Validate sub-consultant invoices against deliverables and level of effort in coordination with design teams.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking, identifying variances.
  • Coordinate monthly invoicing and payment processes, ensuring alignment with contract requirements.
  • Maintain cost breakdown structures (CBS), commitments, and accruals to support accurate reporting.
  • Support preparation of monthly cost, schedule, and commercial reporting.
  • Track change orders and scope adjustments, including cost and schedule impacts.
  • Draft and coordinate commercial correspondence, including letters and formal notices.
  • Liaise with project controls and finance teams to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor consultant performance against contractual and commercial requirements.
  • Maintain organized records to support auditability and reporting.
  • Track risks and issues, supporting escalation and resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls and reporting processes.
