About The Position

Armtec Inc. is the largest manufacturer of water management and drainage solutions in Canada. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work within the Company from processing inquiries from the sales team, to processing quotations and assembling work orders and drawings for distribution to the Production Supervisors involved. They will work closely with sales, engineering, operations, logistics and the customer to see the completion of the project from start to finish thereby enhancing customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Construction Engineering Technician or Civil Engineering Technologist education diploma.
  • 3-5 years' experience in the drainage and/or road construction industry is a definite asset.
  • Experience with estimating, bidding, quantity and material takeoffs.
  • Experience in reading, interpreting and understanding Civil Engineering drawings, with a preference for civil works such as road construction and drainage applications.
  • Advanced communication skills to convey technical information to internal departments, infrastructure owners, engineers and contractors.
  • Bilingual in English and French is preferred.
  • Computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel), MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention-to-detail and accuracy skills for data entry and reporting purposes.
  • Time and priority management skills for daily productivity purposes.
  • Well-developed customer service/client relations skills to maintain and secure customer accounts.
  • Creativity and ability to continuously improve the nature of work for special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Compiling, verifying, recording and processing forms and documents, in accordance with established procedures, guidelines and schedules.
  • Assisting the sales team on technical solutions for drainage and road construction applications.
  • Prepare customer quotations and forwards them to the sales team.
  • Releases necessary production work orders for manufacturing.
  • Assembles related work orders, production and/or drawings for distribution to Production Supervisors involved.
  • Updates schedules and other reports as needed.
  • Participates in the product quality process within the Armtec operations.
