About The Position

We are seeking a Project Coordinator Coop to join our team in Vancouver! The Project Coordinator Coop supports the delivery of mechanical construction work on the New St. Paul’s Hospital (NSP) project. This role provides hands‑on exposure to quality assurance, project coordination, and mechanical system installation on a large‑scale healthcare project. Working closely with the QA/QC and project management teams, this position helps bridge field operations and project controls while building foundational experience in mechanical construction. The New St. Paul’s Hospital is one of British Columbia’s most significant healthcare infrastructure projects. This role supports the successful delivery of complex mechanical systems by ensuring quality documentation, coordination, and system readiness. The Project Coordinator (Co‑op) contributes directly to project progress while gaining meaningful, real‑world construction experience.

Requirements

  • Currently working toward a University degree or College diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn in a fast‑paced construction environment
  • Comfortable working on a construction job site and in an office setting

Nice To Haves

  • Previous co‑op, internship, or related work experience
  • Exposure to the construction industry
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC systems
  • Working at Heights certification (training will be provided if required)

Responsibilities

  • Support the QA/QC team with inspections, documentation, and verification of mechanical installations
  • Assist with system sign‑offs and ensure documentation is tracked and maintained
  • Collaborate with the commissioning team to support system testing, verification, and turnover
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittits to support coordination activities
  • Track RFIs, submittals, deficiencies, and test reports
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of as‑built drawings and turnover documentation
  • Participate in coordination meetings with site supervisors, trades, and consultants
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the project team
  • Assist in monitoring progress and updating logs to support schedule and quality compliance

Benefits

  • Expected hourly compensation; $23 - $25
