About The Position

TYLin is seeking a Project Controls Specialist (Scheduler) to join their PMCM group supporting various projects in the Los Angeles area. This position will involve working on rail, transit, and other construction management projects throughout the region. This posting is intended to gather expressions of interest for anticipated opportunities expected to arise over the next 3-6 months. While an immediate vacancy may not be available, TYLin is building relationships with talented professionals interested in joining their growing Project Controls team as new projects and hiring needs materialize.

Requirements

BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
3-5+ years of construction project scheduling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills required.
Proficiency with MS Office programs required.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with and knowledge of Primavera P6 preferred.
Certifications with PMI or AACEI are also preferable.

Responsibilities

Participate in logistical, delivery, and workforce planning with project personnel, and incorporate into a CPM schedule using Primavera P6 Software.
Review and provide comments on contractor-prepared baseline, update, and recovery schedules using Primavera P6 Software.
Attend project progress and schedule meetings.
Accurately track contractor work progress related to schedule.
Maintain liaison with client and other consultants at all project stages.
Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and project teams to support successful delivery of projects.
Identify improvements for schedule procedures, templates, and products, and refer ideas to the appropriate line manager.
