The position may be in Anchorage, Bethel, Fairbanks, Homer, Juneau, Kenai, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Nome, Sitka, and Wasilla, depending upon the location of the most qualified candidate. In this role, you will lead and support security and privacy initiatives for the Eligibility Modernization Office’s eligibility and enrollment systems. You will coordinate implementation and ongoing monitoring of federal and state security requirements, including ARC-AMPE, NIST SP 800-53 Revision 5, HIPAA, HITECH, and CMS/HHS requirements. You will develop and maintain security documentation supporting authority to operate or connect, continuous monitoring, audits, vulnerability scans, and corrective actions. You will conduct and track risk assessments; support data protection, access controls, incident response, recovery, retention, and destruction; and develop security and privacy training. Working with program, technical, vendor, and external partners, the analyst evaluates system designs and testing results, communicates requirements, and ensures project decisions and deliverables protect sensitive information.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for designing, developing, and testing software in a given environment.
  • Knowledge of methods, tools, and procedures, including development of information security plans, to prevent information systems vulnerabilities, and provide or restore security of information systems and network services.
  • Experience implementing or supporting federal or state security and privacy requirements, such as ARC-AMPE, NIST SP 800-53, HIPAA, or comparable frameworks.
  • Experience in developing security documentation, supporting authorization activities, and monitoring ongoing compliance.
  • Experience leading or supporting a security or privacy risk assessment or remediation effort across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience identifying and prioritizing risks, assigning and tracking corrective actions, and ensuring deliverables met security and quality requirements.
  • Experience evaluating system designs, testing results, access controls, data flows, vulnerability findings, or incident-response plans.
  • Experience working with program, technical, vendor, or external partners to protect sensitive data, coordinate remediation, and verify resolution.
  • Must be an Alaskan Resident.
