The position may be in Anchorage, Bethel, Fairbanks, Homer, Juneau, Kenai, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Nome, Sitka, and Wasilla, depending on the location of the most qualified candidate. What you will be doing: You, as the Project Analyst, will serve as a key contributor in the Eligibility Modernization Office (EMO), supporting complex system modernization and business transformation initiatives through advanced analytical, coordination, and leadership support across the project lifecycle. This position works closely with program leadership, technical teams, and vendors to lead stakeholder discovery, translate business, policy, and technical needs into clear requirements, and evaluate system and process designs. This postion as a Project Analyst, you will play a central role in planning and supporting testing, implementation, data validation, and project reporting while ensuring deliverables meet defined acceptance criteria. You will also support security and compliance activities, maintain authoritative project documentation, and provide leadership within Agile/Scrum teams to help ensure project outcomes align with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for designing, developing, and testing software in a given environment.
  • Knowledge of methods, tools, and procedures, including development of information security plans, to prevent information systems vulnerabilities, and provide or restore security of information systems and network services.
  • Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments promptly; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior.
  • Experience managing or supporting complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and external contractors.
  • Experience planning and coordinating work, monitoring progress and costs, and ensuring contractor deliverables met performance and quality expectations.
  • Role in software development or system modernization efforts.
  • Experience contributing to requirements development, design review, testing, and implementation.
  • Experience ensuring solutions met business and technical needs.
  • Experience supporting information systems or network security activities, such as security documentation, compliance monitoring, audits, or risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify issues, set priorities, and take initiative to resolve problems or move work forward with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
