About The Position

Our Transmission group is currently looking to add a Project Administrator to our Project Support team on a 12-month term (with possibility of extension), based out of our head office in Edmonton, AB. Reporting to the Project Support Manager, this role provides critical administrative and coordination support to project teams, helping ensure projects are executed efficiently and successfully. Working closely with Project Managers, site teams, and internal stakeholders, this role supports day-to-day project operations through travel coordination, documentation management, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 2 years of related administrative or data entry experience
  • Proven experience coordinating and booking travel for large crews (20+ personnel)
  • Demonstrated understanding of purchasing and procurement processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration
  • Experience with document control
  • Previous experience in a construction environment or working with a utility company
  • Experience using JD Edwards

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage travel arrangements for onsite personnel and site visitors, including flights, camp accommodations, hotels, and ground transportation
  • Support Procurement by receiving and entering purchase orders, reviewing travel invoices, and submitting expense reports
  • Review timesheets for accuracy and consistency; enter time into Valard’s payroll system and resolve discrepancies with Corporate Payroll
  • Support site teams with IT requests by coordinating IT tickets, including equipment and system access, and liaising with the IT department
  • Collect, enter and distribute data for daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including incorporation of field data into reports
  • Perform general administrative and project support duties
  • Participate in and support Valard safety programs
  • Develop contacts throughout the company to track down pertinent and essential information
  • Use Valard systems and processes to complete daily tasks
  • Coordinate with accounting and operational teams as required
