Project Professional II – Project Administrator

About The Position

RK&K is seeking a Project Administrator to join its Construction, Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in Miami, Florida. The position is part of the Construction Management group and provides technical management for transportation construction projects. RK&K’s Construction Management team oversees and delivers transportation projects, including new alignments, capacity and interchange improvements, ITS construction, tolling infrastructure conversions, and express lanes.

Requirements

A Civil Engineering degree plus two years of engineering experience in construction of major road or bridge structures, or a high school diploma with eight years of responsible and related engineering experience, including two years involving construction of major road or bridge structures.
Florida project administrator experience.
CTQP Final Estimates Level II qualification.
FDOT Advanced MOT certification.
Experience performing roadway and bridge project-related duties in Florida, such as Materials Acceptance and Certification System (MAC), EEO compliance, processing supplemental agreements and/or work orders, progress and final estimates, and reviewing and recommending field changes.
Familiarity with FDOT specifications and procedures.
Willingness to attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager Course and pass the examination.

Responsibilities

Prepare pursuit letters for various project pursuits.
Supervise construction office and inspection staff.
Represent the team at construction, progress, and staff meetings as assigned.
Attend FDOT meetings and/or conferences.
Serve as Project Engineer/Administrator on construction projects for multiple clients.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by the client.
