About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accounting Coordinator to support the financial administration of construction projects. This role works closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and Accounting to ensure project budgets, payment applications, forecasts, and compliance documentation are accurate, complete, and submitted on time. The Project Accounting Coordinator plays a key role in keeping projects financially organized and compliant from project startup through closeout. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, processes, and project teams while building a career in construction accounting and project finance.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in construction accounting, project administration, billing, or related field preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• An understanding of construction payment applications, job costing, and percentage-of-completion concepts.
• Experience with construction ERP systems (CMiC, Viewpoint, Sage, or similar) preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare owner payment applications based on approved subcontractor payment applications and project team input.
• Compile and review supporting documentation for billing packages.
• Convert estimating budgets into ERP import templates and load project budgets into the system.
• Maintain and roll forward monthly project projections and forecasts.
• Monitor subcontractor lien waiver compliance and track required documentation.
• Assist with project setup, budget maintenance, and financial data management within the ERP system.
• Review data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with project teams.
• Generate and maintain project financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
