About The Position

The Project Accountant manages the financial aspects of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role partners closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to monitor budgets, analyze financial performance, and deliver actionable insights to support project success.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in project accounting or a related financial role.

Responsibilities

Serve as the financial liaison for assigned projects, supporting Project Management with accurate and timely reporting.
Oversee project accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking actual costs against budgets.
Prepare detailed financial reports on project performance in alignment with accounting standards.
Manage project-related billing processes and perform reconciliations.
Analyze project costs, identify variances, and provide detailed explanations to stakeholders.
Compile and evaluate financial data to support operational decision-making.
Perform return-on-investment analyses for capital expenditures and provide recommendations.
Ensure all project financial activities adhere to company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate and improve project accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Identify financial risks associated with projects and recommend mitigation strategies.
Partner with project managers and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Communicate with customers regarding billing, costs, and audit requests.
Represent the organization professionally, upholding high standards of integrity and ethics.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
