The Project Accountant position is responsible for assisting Project Accountants and Project Accounting Management to ensure invoicing on each project is handled in an accurate, efficient, and professional manner. This is a non-exempt role where the employee takes daily direction from a Project Accounting Team Lead and performs assigned duties according to specific procedures with frequent checks on their work.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Accountants in preparing and submitting detailed and accurate invoices of reimbursable costs associated with maintenance and construction projects to clients.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments, field personnel, and client representatives to compile invoicing information and resolve issues.
• Work collaboratively with other Project Accountants and provide assistance when a coworker's workload necessitates it.
• Undertake special projects as assigned by Project Accountants and Project Accounting Management, such as client audits or system conversions.
• Assist Project Accountants in preparing detailed and accurate month-end accruals.
• Research, report, and explain billing transactions to Accounting Management.
