About The Position

The Project Accountant is responsible for billing, revenue, and reconciliation duties for assigned projects. Project transactions must be recorded in accordance with GAAP revenue recognition guidelines and One10’s workflow. The role works closely with Client Services Event Managers and supports project accounting, month-end close, revenue analysis, reporting, and process improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
3–5 years of comprehensive experience in project accounting.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Financial expertise in Percent of Completion billing and GAAP ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical problem-solving skills.
Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Experience with efficient processes and the use of technology; accuracy is essential.

Active or inactive CPA.
Experience with NetSuite.
Experience with project management applications or systems.

Responsibilities

Understand and apply One10 project accounting processes and practices.
Propose project journal entries to manage project funds.
Assist with month-end close activities, including reviewing project working capital summaries, project Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements, and Percent of Completion schedules.
Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as assigned.
Review revenue accounting processes and procedures and implement process improvements to strengthen efficiency.
Answer account management questions related to client billing.
Contribute to revenue and deferred revenue analyses.
Participate in cross-training.
Assist with the month-end close process and improve close cycle time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
