Progressive Care Unit Nursing Assistant Part Time Days
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Nursing Assistant for their Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a part-time position with 24 hours weekly, working day shifts from 7 am to 7 pm. The PCU is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit, situated between inpatient and critical care units. While specializing in cardiovascular care, the unit manages a variety of diagnoses including CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, and sepsis. The role involves working closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. The PCU is described as a great environment for nurses to cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing multiple drips and specialized procedures.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide delegated aspects of patient care.
- Perform routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.
- Function as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse.
