Progressive Care Unit Nursing Assistant Part Time Days
About The Position
Seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a part-time position (24 hours weekly) with day shifts (7 am-7 pm) and is benefit-eligible. The Nursing Assistant, under general supervision and according to established procedures, functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse. Responsibilities include providing delegated aspects of patient care and performing routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Progressive Care Unit is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit, situated between inpatient and critical care units. While specializing in cardiovascular care, the unit manages a variety of diagnoses including CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, and sepsis. Nurses work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. The PCU is described as a great environment for nurses to cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing specialized procedures and drips.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required
Nice To Haves
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience preferred
