Progressive Care Unit RN Part Time Days
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a part-time position (24 hours weekly) with day shifts (7 am-7 pm) and is benefit eligible. The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Progressive Care Unit is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit, situated between inpatient and critical care units. While specializing in cardiovascular care, nurses will encounter a variety of diagnoses including CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, and sepsis. Nurses work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. The PCU is an ideal environment for nurses to cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing several drips and specialized procedures. New Graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous nursing experience required to hold a PRN position.
