Nursing Assistant Progressive Care Unit Full Time Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Nursing Assistant for their Progressive Care Unit. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on the night shift (7pm-7am). The Nursing Assistant functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse, providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit, situated between inpatient units and critical care units. While specializing in cardiovascular care, the unit manages a variety of diagnoses including CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, and sepsis. Nurses on this unit work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide care for a high acuity-based population, offering opportunities to cultivate and expand assessment skills while managing specialized procedures and drips.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
