About The Position

We are currently seeking a Program Manager III to join our growing Solid Rocket Motor Programs Management team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Solid Rocket Motors (SRMs), as this position involves coordination with engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams. A strong background in managing technically challenging programs, navigating government or defense customer requirements and driving effective communication across diverse teams and stakeholders is required. The Program Manager will coordinate and lead programs, resources, staffing, progress reporting, and troubleshooting. They will monitor performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions. This role requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. The candidate will solve complex problems, work independently with minimal guidance, and may lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for on-going activities or objectives. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and consistently exercise discretion and judgment.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Project management skills.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Responsibilities

  • Has P&L responsibilities for a specific program.
  • Implements and administers one or more corporate programs, typically consisting of multiple programs or sub-programs.
  • Executes programs that meet the needs of the organization or its employees or customers.
  • Participates in all aspects of corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance.
  • Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks utilization.
  • Supervises the work of program or project staff to ensure that work is completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
  • Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.
  • Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and lead programs, resources, staffing, progress reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.
