About The Position

Manage and administer strategic programs, grants, partnerships, and academic partnerships for the NYU Game Center in support of the department’s academic, professional development, and public-facing goals. Manage the operational and reporting functions associated with the Center of Excellence in Digital Game Development (CoE), industry-related grants and scholarships, NASAD and Princeton Review reporting, and other sponsored initiatives. Provide oversight of the department’s grant portfolio, including grant renewals, reporting requirements, financial activity, and ensure compliance with sponsor and University requirements. Serve as the department’s liaison with the Office of Sponsored Programs, government agencies, foundation and sponsor representatives and industry representative to interpret requirements, resolve grant-related matters, and ensure appropriate stewardship of sponsored funds. Lead and support a broad range of departmental programs and outreach initiatives, including high school programming, student career development activities, internship administration, incubator support, public events, and communications strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years relevant experience in academic or office administration
  • Experience in grant budget development or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience managing creative teams
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with distinguished visitors, faculty, and students
  • Proven ability to direct and implement a variety of operations and activities
  • Ability to communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels
  • Problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of standard office software, web publishing, and social media
  • Extensive knowledge of games and game industry
