The Virginia Department of Health (VDH), Office of Information Management (OIM), is seeking an experienced Programmer Analyst 3 to support the modernization of Virginia's Vital Events and Screening Tracking System (VVESTS). This position plays a key role in transforming critical public health applications by migrating legacy Oracle PL/SQL Web Toolkit applications to Oracle APEX while ensuring the highest standards of security, compliance, and performance for systems containing sensitive personal and health information. Applications will be reviewed as received. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future. Candidates must physically reside within the United States for the duration of the assignment. Candidates must be available to interview in person. Candidates must be willing to work onsite five days per week during the first 30 days, with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule of three onsite days per week based on performance and business needs.
