About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Programmer Analyst 2 in Hanover, VA. This role involves modernizing a flagship cloud-hosted (OCI) application, BADGE, from a desktop version to a web-based version. The candidate will need to understand the existing desktop application's code to facilitate migration to the new web-based application. This position requires close collaboration with lead developers, taking ownership of modules, and providing guidance to other contractors.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of systems development and design using Visual Studio .Net.
• Expert knowledge in developing ASP.Net, Web Services and Web applications in .Net.
• Expert knowledge of .Net technologies (Visual Basic, C#, .Net Framework).
• Experience working in MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery Unobtrusive Validation, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience working with WinForms / WPF Forms.
• Experience working with TFS / GIT Source Control.
• Experience working with RDBMS and writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience working with Oracle and PL/SQL preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Angular/React desired.

Responsibilities

• Understand the code in the current desktop application to migrate to the new Web based application.
• Work closely with lead developers to take ownership of a given module.
• Provide guidance to other contractors.
